Michael Daniel is an attorney from Athens, Georgia. Mr. Daniel has served as President of the Federal Bar Association of the Middle District of Georgia, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Attorney Disciplinary Committee for the Middle District Federal Court. His legal career also includes past work as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice. He received his undergraduate degree from Mercer University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia's School of Law.
Mr. Daniel was appointed to the State Board in 2003 by Governor Sonny Perdue and currently serves as Vice Chair of the State Board. He also serves on the State Board’s Executive Committee, the Academic Standards and Programs, Facilities and Real Estate, and Appeals Committees.
