Sandra B. Reed, a physician from Thomas County, is a certified member of the American Board of OB/Gyn and currently serves at the Shaw Center for Women’s Health. Reed is chairman of the board of directors for the Southwest Georgia Technical College. She has previously served as director-at-large for the Georgia OB/Gyn Society and as Alternate Director for the Medical Association of Georgia. Her undergraduate degree is from Valdosta State College and her doctorate of medicine is from the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Reed was appointed to the State Board by Governor Sonny Perdue in 2004 and serves as Vice Chair on the Academic Standards and Programs Committee and also serves on the Business Operations, Technology and Administration and Audit Committees.
