The following college names have changed as a result of the merger of some TCSG college administrations on July 1, 2009.  These are changes in the college name only; all campuses and their programs remain open with regular classroom schedules just as they were prior to July 1, 2009. Address and phone information for those campuses can be found in the college directory under the new college name.

Appalachian, Chattahoochee, and North Metro Technical Colleges have merged to become the new Chattahoochee Technical College

Coosa Valley and Northwestern Technical Colleges have merged to become the new Georgia Northwestern Technical College

Southeastern and Swainsboro Technical Colleges have merged to become the new Southeastern Technical College

West Central and West Georgia Technical Colleges have merged to become the new West Georgia Technical College

Please note: Four additional colleges are still to be merged. Griffin Technical College and Flint River Technical College should become Southern Crescent Technical College in July 2010. Valdosta Technical College and East Central Technical College are planned for merger as Wiregrass Georgia Technical College in July 2010.
