Welcome to the Technical College System of Georgia.
Whether you’re a prospective student, a parent, a guidance counselor, a business, or an adult learner, we can help. Let us show you how.

For Students:
Georgia’s technical colleges stand ready to help launch your future. Last year, more than 27,000 students graduated from the 34 colleges of the Technical College System of Georgia. Today, 98 percent of these graduates are presently either employed or continuing their education! As you investigate which technical college and program best meet your goals, you’ll join the thousands of other students like you who’ve discovered that our colleges offer state-of-the art technical education in more than 600 programs. Find out more and Begin your Future today.

Parents want to know that a college education will provide their sons and daughters with the right knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in a career and in life. Many want to know about the field of study and what type of job and pay their student will receive upon completion of a certificate, diploma or degree program. To help, we suggest checking out the U.S. Department of Labor’s wage survey that tells what average salaries are by education level and field. DOL Wage Survey

For Businesses:
If you’re a business looking to train or retrain your workforce, or a company considering relocation to Georgia, you’ve come to the right place. Our Quick Start training programs are offered free of charge to industries looking to move to Georgia, as well as those already here who are implementing new technologies and need help evaluating new hires, production issues and improved efficiencies. Georgia focuses on providing a highly trained workforce that’s ready to go to work, and Quick Start is an important part of meeting this goal. For more information, visit Georgia Quick Start

For Adult Learners:
For adult learners looking to obtain their GED and the improved opportunities that follow, then the State of Georgia’s adult literacy programs can help to prove that “it’s a new day” for you. In fact, last year, we enrolled some 100,000 students in adult literacy programs and 18,000 of those Georgians proudly obtained their GED, opening doors to increased earning potential, higher education, and better lives. Another 36,000 men and women enrolled in our English language programs.
Literacy is important to business as well. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Illiteracy can mean more than $2 billion in additional costs to Georgia employers. The Department of Technical and Adult Education can help decrease this cost to Georgia businesses. Let us help your employees and, in turn, help your bottom line.

For Guidance Counselors and Graduation Coaches:
Some may say that Georgia’s system of technical colleges is our state’s best-kept secret. For sure, Georgia’s technical colleges are not the old trade schools of past generations. We know that Georgia’s high school and middle school counselors, as well as the state’s graduation coaches, are important partners in spreading the word that Technical Education Works.
The Technical College System of Georgia has the resources for you and your students to investigate potential fields of study and choose the right college, examine ways to help pay for college, and find a fulfilling student life on campus. We want to show students how a quality technical education can mean enormous career opportunities, and we need your help to do it.
