SPECIAL POPULATIONS

For Special Populations

The Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education provides equal access to all program activities and provides assurance of nondiscrimination for all special populations students in admissions, programs/training and all activities.

Special populations includes:

1) Individuals with disabilities

2) Individuals from economically disadvantaged families, including foster children

3) Individuals preparing for nontraditional fields

4) Displaced homemakers

5)Individuals with limited English proficiency

Services include programs that will enhance or improve the academic, technical and employability skills of special population students. The Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education is committed to developing and implementing procedures that will encourage and support each student in their pursuit of a rewarding career, with emphasis on high skill, high wage or high demand occupation.
