HiSET Exam in Georgia

What is the HiSET Exam?

The HiSET® exam is a five-subject test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers. The five subject area tests are Language Arts Reading, Language Arts Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. You can learn more about the exam from PSI’s website at HiSET.org.

The HiSET exam can be taken in person at a testing center or at home in a proctored environment. In-person testing is done through our network of testing centers.

The HiSET@Home requires a private room, a computer, a camera, speakers, and a stable internet connection. HiSET@Home exam is available to take from home 7 days a week.

 

Cost of the HiSET Exam

In Georgia, if you take the test in person at a testing center, the HiSET five subject tests are $31 each. The full battery is $155. Georgia charges $40.50 per subject or full battery $202.50 for the HiSET@Home exam. You pay for the test when you schedule it through HiSET.org.

The State of Georgia offers free testing to eligible Georgia residents to cover the cost of HiSET® exam fees through the HOPE High School Equivalency Examination Grant.
