This tab contains six documents associated with enrolling underage youth into an adult education program and requesting permission to take an HSE test. Each includes a short description and any recent updates in italics.

1. Underage Youth Application 10.27.25 – This form must be completed for an underage youth to enroll in an adult education program. Minor grammatical and formatting changes.
2. Underage Youth Application Directions 10.27.25 – This document accompanies the Underage Youth Application. It should be shared with applicants. Intake personnel should be knowledgeable of the information and directions in this document. Minor grammatical and formatting changes.
3. Underage Enrollment Affidavit for Home School Students 10.27.25 – This form is used by Home School Students to bypass the requirement for a withdrawal form. It is completed by a parent/guardian and must be notarized.Minor grammatical and formatting changes.
4. Underage Youth Testing Requirements (for Students) 10.27.25 – This document goes over the assessment and practice test requirements that students must meet to receive permission to test. This should be shared with students and a parent or guardian. Updated Option 2 for both GED and HiSET to include any NRS-approved assessment to accommodate ESL students who want to take an HSE test. Added scores for newer HiSET Official Practice Tests.
5. Request for Underage Youth Testing Approval Log 10.27.25 – This form is used by local programs to submit students to the HSE Office for approval to take the GED or HiSET. Removed the HSE Office fax number and the request for a local fax number.
6. Local adult education personnel can access training, materials, and resources through the “Assessment Policies and Procedures” organization in Adult Education’s Blackboard portal, which is located at https://adultedgo.blackboard.com. “Assessment Policies and Procedures” is available for self-enrollment to all OAE-funded Adult Education program personnel with an AdultEdGo Blackboard account. Contact your Blackboard sub-administrator if you need assistance with your Blackboard account or self-enrollment.
