Columbus Technical College Names New President
Interim President, Martha Ann Todd to lead the college
ATLANTA, GA—Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Commissioner Matt Arthur has appointed a new President to lead Columbus Technical College. Martha Ann Todd, who has been serving as Interim President at Columbus Technical College since July 1st, has been named President of Columbus Technical College.
“Martha Ann has 40 years of experience in education and has
held a range of leadership roles at the school, district, and state levels,”
said TCSG Commissioner Matt Arthur. “She is the right person to lead Columbus
Technical College and reaffirm the college’s mission to develop a skilled
workforce for business and industry in the region.”
Prior to her role as Interim President at Columbus Technical
College, Todd was Deputy Commissioner for Adult and Technical Education at TCSG.
From 2013 through 2017, she served as the Executive Director of the Governor’s
Office of Student Achievement. Todd was also Assistant Superintendent for Meriwether
County Schools and an Associate Superintendent of Teacher and Leader Effectiveness
with the Georgia Department of Education.
“I am honored to be chosen as Columbus Technical College’s
next President,” said Todd. “I want to thank the Commissioner and the State
Board for their support as we work together to create more educational
opportunities for people in our service delivery area as well as build a
pipeline of skilled talent for business and industry.”
Todd is a graduate of Emory University, Columbus State
University, and Georgia College and State University. Todd assumed her new role
effective October 4th.
The State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia
approved Commissioner Arthur’s appointment of Martha Ann Todd on Thursday,
October 3rd in Dublin.
