Intake and Assessment

All individuals registering with an OAE-funded adult education program must complete a prescribed intake process. This page contains information, guidance, forms, and procedures that are integral to intake and student assessment.

For FY25, Georgia Adult Education has approved four standardized assessments for use.

Local adult education personnel can access training, materials, and resources through the “Assessment Policies and Procedures” organization in Adult Education’s Blackboard portal, which is located at https://adultedgo.blackboard.com. “Assessment Policies and Procedures” is available for self-enrollment to all OAE-funded Adult Education program personnel with an AdultEdGo Blackboard account. Contact your Blackboard sub-administrator if you need assistance with your Blackboard account or self-enrollment.

All states that receive federal Adult Education funds are required to have assessment policies. Click on the link below to view or download the current approved policy manual.
