POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Business Technology, Adjunct Instructor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position. Under supervision of the Associate Dean of Business Sciences. Performs all aspects of instruction for the Business Technology program. The person in this part-time position will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to develop and sustain the Business Technology program that prepares students with employable skills for business and industry. Classes are taught online.

NOTE: Adjunct Instructor positions are temporary, part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited and there is no expectation that your association with Chatt Tech will extend beyond this term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s degree in Business Education or Master’s in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

· Industry experience in field of expertise.

· Nationally recognized certification.

· Experience with online instruction in a postsecondary setting; experience with Blackboard or other online learning management systems.

· Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction, instructional technology, and student advisement/registration.

SALARY/BENEFITS: $2,000 pay per course; there are no state benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
