Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for an instructor and program coordinator position for the Certified Nursing Assistant program. The home campus for this position is the Whitfield Murray Campus; however, travel to other campuses as needed is required as this program will be offered on multiple campuses. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the nurse aid accelerated curriculum and instructional delivery of the curriculum and possible related curriculum. This faculty member is also responsible for successfully preparing students for the State approved exam.

Required Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing – Registered Nurse (RN); A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) must be in a long-term care facility (nursing home); must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aides; Train-the-Trainer Workshop attendance certification from Alliant Health Solutions. Hold both a current Georgia and Tennessee license or be eligible for licensure in Georgia and Tennessee. Be in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN. Post-secondary teaching experience in a PN or ADN program. Curriculum development, and program recruitment experience in a two-year college environment. On-line teaching/learning experience using Blackboard. Excellent organizational and classroom management skills. Experience in managing academic programs across multiple campuses; working knowledge and proven experience in programmatic assessments; and working knowledge of college and programmatic accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
