Job Description:

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their Marketing Project Assistant position, in the Student and Academic Affairs Division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

The Library Assistant is responsible for providing support to the staff of the Communications, Marketing and Public Relations division and the technical college.

The Job duties include:

  • Maintains calendar for Communications, Marketing and Public Relations (CMPR) team;
  • Provides administrative support to the unit and manages CMPR email mailbox;
  • Maintains schedule of events and meetings;
  • Proofreads and edits documents for content, context, accuracy and consistency;
  • Maintains departmental filing and record-keeping systems;
  • Maintains office supplies and promotional inventory;
  • Assists with recruiting activities throughout the College;
  • Manages web communication inquiries – provides professional level assistance to prepare, maintain and update information;
  • Manages the production of publications, fliers and informational project materials, and assists with the publication of materials;
  • Provides administrative support such as telephone reception, coordinating itineraries and calendars, and preparing various documents using MS Office;
  • Monitors budget revenue, expenses and prepares reports;
  • Prepares various reports and distributes to appropriate CMPR personnel;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate a High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) or more years of related work experience in Marketing.  Must also possess and demonstrate the following:

  • effective communication skills;
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel and Word;
  • Experience in managing calendars and itineraries.
  • Experience in social media management;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Attention to detail with superior organizational and time management skills; knowledge of relevant marketing tools and applications; Adobe Creative suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be given applicants who in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, also possess and demonstrate an Associate’s degree or higher and two (2) or more years of related work experience in Marketing, along with knowledge of relevant marketing tools and applications – experience in Adobe Creative suite required.
