POSITION: Psychology Adjunct Instructor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position based on semester system. Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned. Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs.

NOTE: Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Educational Level: Master’s Degree in Psychology from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and/or a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology coursework.

· PLEASE NOTE: Coursework in Counseling and/or Social Work cannot be substituted for the required coursework in Psychology.

· Minimum one-year post-secondary teaching experience

· Post-secondary experience teaching face-to-face and online courses via Blackboard or a similar learning management system (LMS).

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ph.D. in Psychology

· Minimum three years full-time teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.

SALARY/BENEFITS

· Salary, $2,300 per course

· No State benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
