POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: WIOA Coordinator (Paulding)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the operations of the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program including coordinating job training and placement assistance for individual clients.
MAJOR DUTIES:
ADMINISTRATION
· Plans and organizes the daily activities of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program at an assigned campus of Chattahoochee Technical College.
SUPERVISION OF STAFF
· Communicates with staff regarding pertinent information on policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to job functions.
· Hires, develops, trains, assigns, directs, supervises and evaluates the work of assigned personnel.
WIOA
· Recruits, screens and admits applicants for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program.
· Performs case management and referral activities as mandated by federal, state and local guidelines for services by the local WIOA Board.
· Communicates and maintains accurate records and reports of client participation and outcomes to ensure compliance with standards of WIOA; enters data into computers.
· Assists with program entry paperwork, job placement and follow-up.
· Performs all financial duties associated with the program.
OTHER
· Establishes a working relationship with the public, community, and service delivery organizations/agencies.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors Degree required in course of study related to the occupational field.
· Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years of experience or service.
· Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
SALARY/BENEFITS: $51,373.38 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
TELEWORK: This position may be permitted to telework at least two days of a forty-hour work week.
