Student Conduct and Grievance
The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) System Office is committed to ensuring that students have access to fair and timely resolution of academic or student-related concerns. TCSG ensures that colleges have proper policies and procedures in place, and they follow those. However, before submitting a complaint to TCSG, students must first complete the formal complaint or grievance process at the Technical College as outlined in the student catalog or handbook. If the issue remains unresolved after exhausting the college's procedures, please complete the TCSG Student/Academic Complaint Form.
What are my rights as a student?
Every college has a student handbook that you should receive when you become a student. Most of the colleges have their handbook on their website as well as hard copies for students. Your rights and responsibility as a student should be listed in this handbook.
How do I submit a complaint regarding something that happened at my technical college?
A Grievance Procedure should be printed in every college catalog or student handbook. You will need to follow this process exactly as it is written.
Can I challenge a grade that I received if I don’t think it is correct?
A process for challenging a grade should be printed in every college catalog or student handbook. You will need to follow this process exactly as it is written. Please note: Grade appeals are determined at the college level. TCSG does not have the authority to change or influence academic grades. Students must follow their college's grade appeal process as outlined in the student catalog or handbook.
Before Submitting Your Complaint: Important Notice
TCSG will only review complaints that:
- Have already been addressed through the college’s official complaint/grievance procedures.
- Include proper documentation of the outcome or decision issued by the college.
- Include a valid college-issued case number or reference number related to the complaint.
Please complete the Student/Academic Complaint form below should you need further assistance with your complaint:

Ethics and Compliance Reporting Portal
844-910-4220
The Technical College System of Georgia, and its 22 Colleges have a responsibility to adhere to the highest ethical standards and principles in the fulfillment of our mission. In recognition of this responsibility, we strive to foster and cultivate an environment in which ethics and integrity are paramount to every facet of our operations. TCSG has codified this commitment within our Ethics and Standards of Conduct for Employees and Ethical Responsibilities of Employees.
As such, TCSG strongly encourages the reporting of all forms of unethical conduct and non-compliance. To provide an effective mechanism for reporting such activity, TCSG established the Ethics and Compliance Reporting Portal, hosted through EthicsPoint. Instances of known or suspected unethical and non-compliant activities within one of our 22 Technical Colleges or within our System Office may be reported via http://tcsg.ethicspoint.com/ or by calling 844-910-4220 which is available seven days a week/24 hours a day, and allows for anonymous reporting.
The Technical College System of Georgia appreciates your willingness to come forward and report concerns involving known or suspected unethical and non-compliant activities taking place within one of our 22 technical colleges or here within our System Office. TCSG takes these matters seriously, and will not tolerate retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith.
Only matters involving non-compliance, unethical, or fraudulent behavior will be investigated. Issues for which there is another resolution procedure will be referred to the appropriate parties.
