Academic Affairs
Academic Affairs, part of the Pillar of Technical Education seeks to advance innovative, accessible, and industry-aligned programs to prepare a skilled, future-ready workforce. Through collaboration across key divisions, Academic Affairs supports education in high-demand fields such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, public safety, business services, and emerging technologies. By fostering partnerships among colleges, employers, and communities, the division support the building of responsive talent pipelines, expanded access through flexible learning pathways and a shared resource model, all while ensuring quality and accountability through technical assistance for colleges’ compliance with Perkins legislation and accreditation standards—strengthening student success and Georgia’s economy statewide.
Academic Affairs
The Academic Affairs unit of Tech Ed working in collaboration with the Health Care Initiatives, Emerging Technologies, and Public Safety Initiatives units also in the division supports AA staff administrators and faculty at the TCSG colleges. Specifically, we coordinate and facilitate IFCC operations across all program areas as well as coordinating the program and course updates in KMS arising form these meetings. The AA unit also processes New Program Requests (NPR) reviews. Specific AA staff members and roles/assignments can be found here:
Healthcare Initiatives
The Technical College System of Georgia Healthcare Initiatives Division envisions being the leader in innovative, accessible, and industry-driven healthcare education, shaping a highly skilled healthcare workforce in Georgia. Through excellence in training and strong partnerships, the division aspires to empower future healthcare professionals for lifelong success and meaningful impact in an evolving healthcare landscape.
Georgia Online Learning & Development (GOLD)
Georgia Online Learning and Development (GOLD), within the Technical College System of Georgia, advances innovative, high-quality education and workforce training by strengthening how learning is designed, delivered, and supported across the state’s technical colleges. Through supporting collaborative leadership and a shared resource model, GOLD works to help expand access to enterprise learning technologies, guides course design and development, provides professional learning opportunities, and upholds standards of quality and accessibility—empowering educators to create engaging, effective learning experiences while positioning the system as a leader in digital education and training innovation.
Accountability and Institutional Effectiveness
The Technical College System of Georgia's (TCSG) Accountability and Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) unit provides technical colleges with assistance with planning‚ program review‚ institutional research‚ and accreditation in support of the TCSG mission․ In addition‚ AIE also plays a key role in managing the Perkins federal career and technical education grant, ensuring these resources directly benefit our students.
The unit provides leadership and support to ensure compliance with federal Perkins legislation, while coordinating key activities such as Perkins Local Applications, Comprehensive Local Needs Assessments, Perkins Budget Allocations, CTE program improvement planning, and monitoring reviews.

Learner Pathways & Articulations
The Learner Pathways & Articulation division leads the development of innovative pathways that enable students to translate prior learning into college credit and career advancement. The division ensures equitable and consistent credit opportunities by evaluating diverse learning experiences, including academic coursework, workforce training, military service, and industry-recognized credentials. Through strategic leadership, data-informed decision-making, and targeted outreach, the division expands access, accelerates student completion, and strengthens connections between education and workforce needs.
Public Safety and Business Service Initiatives
The Public Safety and Business Service Initiatives Division of the Technical College System of Georgia provides statewide leadership for education and training in public safety, legal studies, and business/personal service career pathways. The division is committed to delivering innovative, accessible, and industry-aligned programs that prepare a highly skilled workforce to meet Georgia’s public safety, service, and economic needs. Through strong partnerships, high standards, and a focus on career readiness, the division supports student success and meaningful impact across communities and industries statewide.

The Advanced and Emerging Technology Division's mission is to lead Georgia in preparing a future‑ready workforce by advancing high‑quality education and training in artificial intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing, nanotechnology, critical minerals processing, cleanroom operations, advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, and other emerging technologies—both those shaping the state today and those yet to come. Through statewide listening, collaboration, and innovation, we connect colleges, employers, and communities to build responsive, industry‑aligned talent pathways that strengthen Georgia’s economy and ensure every region of the state is equipped for the technologies of the future.
