Retraining Tax Credit Application Process
- The Georgia Retraining Tax Credit helps companies offset the costs of retraining employees that are affected by the implementation of new equipment or new technology.
- When a company implements new equipment or new technology that requires the retraining of existing workforce then they may be eligible for a credit of up to $500 per employee per training programing with an overall cap of $1,250 per employee per tax year. The credit claimed must not exceed 50% of the taxpayers income tax liability.

Retraining Tax Credit Registration
Use this form to submit information for the Georgia Retraining Tax Credit Program. There will then be a case created with the Economic Development staff, who will reach out to you for additional information.
** Please note that after submission has been completed, there is a 30-day turnaround of approvals.**
