About the Office:

The Technical College System of Georgia’s Office Workforce Development is the administrator of WorkSource Georgia, the state’s federally-funded employment and training system, working to connect talent with opportunity. These federal funds are part of a grant program called theWorkforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

At a local level, WorkSource Georgia provides WIOA services across the state through 17 local offices. WIOA funds are allotted to individuals or businesses and administered specifically through services geared toward helping disadvantaged citizens obtain meaningful employment.

In accordance with WIOA requirements, the WIOA/Perkins Combined State Plan is now available to view here. This updated plan now includes Perkins V and covers PY 2024–2027.

In accordance with WIOA requirements, the State of Georgia is seeking public comment on a proposed waiver to streamline ETPL eligibility for training programs approved for Workforce Pell Grant eligibility. The waiver request is available for public review and comment from August 21 through September 19, 2026. To review the waiver request, click here.
