WorkSource Georgia Academy Training: How to Move Standardized Testing to a Virtual Platform

Description: As of October 2020, the State of Georgia began offering two High School Equivalency (HSE) options that are available virtually as well as on-site: General Educational Development (GED) and the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). This training will offer a general description of these testing options. Additionally, the training will include an overview of the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE). The training will highlight the differences between virtual and on-site testing for all three options. The audience will leave the training with concrete tools to help practitioners to provide additional support to test takers. Specifically, we will offer resources on the available accommodations for the various test takers’ needs during this trying time of the COVID 19 pandemic.  This will be a three-part presentation as follows:

II. Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) Overview
III. Accommodation Guides for Individuals with Disabilities
