TCSG has three unique programs that provide opportunities for students to earn a high school diploma, while also earning a college credential. All three programs are designed to help students achieve personal and professional success, and are built to prepare students for sustainable employment with hands-on learning and personal enrichment.
Employer Statement
The Technical College System of Georgia’s Dual Achievement Program (DAP) and Career Plus High School Diploma Program (CPH) meet the needs of Georgia’s workforce by allowing students to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and industry-recognized credentials. To complete the program, students earn nine required high school credit courses (English, math, science social students, and health/personal fitness) and college credentials (technical certificate of credit, a technical diploma, or an associate’s degree).
Supported and authorized under Georgia state law (O.C.G.A 20-4-11), both programs meet the same rigorous academic requirements as Georgia high schools and postsecondary institutions. Both DAP and CPH require accreditation from Cognia, the accrediting body for many Georgia high schools. Additionally, all college credentials are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), a regional accrediting body for higher education institutions.
DAP and CPH are available at select technical colleges through the state.
