The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below.

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Training Specialist position in the Office of Georgia Quick Start. This position will be located at the TCSG Georgia Quick Start Training Center being constructed in Bryan County, Georgia.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position provides training services for Quick Start, OEM training center projects with specific responsibility relating to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA project). The incumbent will support all areas of departmental operations under broad supervision of the Director.  Duties will include overall support of training operations, tracking, and scheduling training events, and training material development and instruction. The Training Specialist will work with the Director and other staff members to evaluate and standardize business processes and tools in order to ensure quality of instructional service delivery for OEM projects.  Other duties include assisting the Director with special projects, preparing operations reports, and conducting training research.  Most travel will be focused in the Savannah region, but occasional travel to other regions of Georgia may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree *and* one (1) year of experience planning, developing, delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction OR four (4) years of experience delivering training that included developing instructional materials and lesson plans.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in management, instructional technology, industrial technologies or a related field *and* 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing training environment.  Experience with instructional design methodology in a highly automated manufacturing environment. Experience in updating schedules within an interactive management system, configuring training material packages and presenting technical training classes.  Experience in automotive related training is a plus.
