POSITION: External Affairs Specialist (Marietta Campus)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for performing administrative duties in support of the Vice President and staff of the marketing and advancement departments, and work with various departments under the External Affairs Division.

MAJOR DUTIES:

CHATTAHOOCHEE TECH FOUNDATION

· Coordinators Chatt Tech Foundation Board of Trustee (BOT) meetings

· Responsible for taking meeting minutes

· Communicate meetings and events to the BOT

· Work with Advancement staff on to develop meeting agendas, printing documents for presentation at meeting and sending to BOT in advance

· Responsible for BOT meeting setup/takedown

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

· Works with Advancement Coordinator and CTF Executive Committee to obtain signature on checks

· Create and send donor acknowledgement letters

· Coordinate faculty and staff funding request approvals and fulfillment

· Support monthly reconciliation between DonorPerfect and QuickBooks

· Schedule meetings and appointments for VP of Advancement

· Work with marketing staff on newsletter content

· Processes travel reports for VP

SPECIAL EVENT SUPPORT

· Processes event registrations

· Coordinate staff support i.e. technical, facilities, events, etc.

· Assist with event setup and takedown

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a closely related field of study is required, plus one year of paid work experience in a higher education setting; or an Associate’s degree in a closely related field of study, plus three years of paid work experience in a higher education setting; or a High School diploma plus five years of paid work experience in a higher education setting.

· Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

SALARY/BENEFITS: $43,559.22 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
