Blackboard
Blackboard is a Learning Management System that provides adult education students with the opportunity to participate in synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities that are created by local adult education providers. Once you have been given your login credentials, use your internet browser to go to https://AdultEdGo.blackboard.com to login. Students who need assistance should contact their local program or teacher. Local Adult Education staff who need assistance should follow local helpdesk protocols.
- Blackboard Request Forms
- Blackboard Master Class Request Form: A Master Class is for building content that is later copied to create classes that enroll students. Master Classes do not have enrolled students nor are they used to hold virtual classes.
- Blackboard Student Class Request Form: A Student Class is for building a live class with students. The primary content comes from a copied Master Class and can be modified to fit individual class needs. You can also use this form to request “Blackboard Collaborate Only” classes.

CareerKits are designed to support a range of literacy instruction as education intersects with career exploration, planning, and work readiness practices. Using a pedagogy of inquiry and discovery, the CareerKit project presents a range of activities and resources to support adult education given the broad context of work. The activities found in the various CareerKits build on instruction that already occurs in adult education high school equivalency classes such as reading and discussion, writing and revising essays, solving word problems, interpreting graphs, and conducting research. As an adult educator or Career Service Specialist, access a CareerKit from those available and listed below that aligns with an industry sector relevant in your area.

HiSET Program Overview for Georgia Adult Education Programs Webinar – September 16, 2020
Session Description: This webinar provided a range of information programs are to know to assist with offering the HiSET as a test option. An emphasis was placed on the familiarity with the HiSET Test at a Glance (TAAG) document for use to gain a greater understanding with testing details (e.g. question format, duration of tests, content categories, number of questions, etc.). The presenters also focused on the many HiSET instructor and test taker support material that are available on the HiSET website. This included items such as the HiSET Quick Reference Guide, HiSET Road Map for Instructors, HiSET Study Companion, HiSET Test Takers Bulletin, and accommodations that are available.
HiSET Official Online Practice Test – September 17, 2020
Session Description: This webinar provided an overview and walkthrough of the HiSET official online practice tests. This one-hour tutorial session was provided to include details about acquiring testing codes, signing up students for the practice tests, preparing students for testing, and interpreting practice test results.
HiSET Mathematics Content and Considerations for Instruction – September 22, 2020
Session Description: This webinar provided an overview of the math test with regard to key focus areas for instructional planning considerations and student math education. One area of importance was an emphasis on understanding how HiSET incorporates Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) within the mathematics test. Another area of emphasis was placed on HiSET’s recommended approach to mathematics instruction using the “Access, Voice, Action, Bridging” teaching methodology. Examples of the use of the mathematics teaching approach were provided.
